About the North Bay Soccer Referee Association
The North Bay Soccer Referee Association (NBSRA) is committed to providing high quality referees to the high schools in Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Contra Costa & Alameda Counties. Our member referees are required to meet minimum annual training standards including annual testing on NFHS rules and conduct a fitness test used by Collegiate Soccer Referees. We also conduct classroom and field training sessions to continue to improve their abilities.
Our mentoring program provides informal one-on-one feedback at game locations as a personal development tool that allows input and performance feedback with a chance to improve and make adjustments during real game situations.
Our assessment program offers each referee to be rated against the High School and USSF standards. Our certified assessors meet with referees after the game to discuss what went well and some areas for improvement. Assessment results have a direct impact on what level of game the referee will be assigned.
NBSRA operates for leagues over three school seasons, Fall, Winter and Spring, with Winter being our busiest season. We also provide referee services to North Bay Middle Schools and Santa Rosa Futsal Leagues.
NBSRA pays competitively and is committed to the three-man diagonal system of control, making your experiences useful in all soccer leagues.
